Apace Packaging, a medium-sized contract pharmaceutical packager based in Fountain Run, KY, is pleased to welcome Rick Davis as VP of Plant Operations.
Davis comes to Apace with thirty years of experience in food service packaging, with a proven track record of leadership team building, continuous improvement mindset, and business development results. Davis’s service in the Marine Corps and his extensive food service background lend to his leadership approach: communication is key to smooth operations and human safety—patient safety—is always at the forefront of every decision made.

I’m very excited about the opportunity to join Apace Packaging. I’m humbled and eager to build new relationships with the Apace Leadership team, associates, and the owners of this family-owned business coming from the food industry, I see a lot of similarities already between the industries of pharma and food; regulations, highest requirement of quality for the customer and end users, manufacturing and packaging efficiencies, and customer relationships, just to underscore a few. It will be a highlight of my career to help lead Apace Packaging for its future growth initiatives and build this Leadership Team’s capabilities.
Outside of work, Davis is a true motor enthusiast and outdoorsman, with a love for race cars and hotrods (most notably Corvettes), off-roading, remote control airplanes, watersports, hunting, and fishing. “Most important,” Davis adds, “is whatever my bride of 33 years, the most beautiful girl in the world, wants to do.” Davis and his wife have raised two sons who have graduated college, started their own careers, and married the girls of their dreams; they look forward to becoming grandparents and what that exciting life stage will bring.
